Such descriptions have and are still being applied to prominent Australian artist, Greg Wardle.

Paintings by this renowned artist hang in galleries and private collections throughout Australia and overseas. America, England, Japan, Germany etc. and are eagerly sought after by collectors.

Educated in Brisbane, Queensland, Greg graduated with degrees in Applied and Fine Art from the Queensland College of Art, majoring in Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking. First employed as a Graphic Artist for a government department, his flair and artistic skills were soon sought after by a number of advertising agencies and major corporations. Throughout this period in commercial art, Greg continued to follow his passion for the fine arts, honing his skills in painting with many successful entries in art competitions and various exhibitions.

Having gained recognition from within the industry, Greg Wardle is regularly engaged as an art judge and critic. He has accepted positions in gallery management and also acts as a private art consultant. Greg has mounted many solo and joint exhibitions, his reputation ensuring success. His unique style now being acknowledged, praised and keenly sought after. Commissioned works are prominent in both the public and private arenas. Further exhibitions overseas are being planned.

His love of painting and his success to date have allowed him to concentrate on the fine arts with both painting and teaching becoming priorities. This new developing "Modern Australian Style" of painting has led to a more public profile for Greg, regularly appearing in all the broadcast media.

Greg works in all styles, from abstract to realism, with a penchant for Modern Australian landscapes. He describes these as being contemporary - expressing the raw power of the landscape whilst reflecting his personal affinity and empathy with the environment.

As well as original pieces, a number of limited edition prints are now produced. Each print is individually signed and numbered by hand, and will prove to be a prudent investment.

Greg is currently Artist-in-Residence at one of Australia's most successful tropical island resorts, ensuring international exposure. He also conducts classes and retreats as well as maintaining his selling collection in the resort's gallery.
